Fenwick Ambulance remembers Jennifer Sue Ayars.
Squad 6 has dedicated one of our Ambulances (6-8A) and the building to Jennifer Sue Ayars. Even after many years her memory still exists in our squad and in many of our hearts. Jen was dedicated to helping others and loved doing what she did. If the world had more people like her it would be a much better place. Jen was on this earth Dec. 12, 1978 till Feb. 15, 1998, her line number 866 has since been retired and will never be issued or used again, even though after we get done a run we feel as if her number should be put on our run sheet because we all know she was on that call with us every step of the way. Its a great feeling to do this and keep her memory going on and letting others know who she was, or how much she ran with this company and even helping out other squads when she could. Even though some of our squad members never got the honor to know Jen personally and run with her we all still remember the stories told and we remember the memories shared about her from her family and friends which makes this sad moment a happy one, because all of that is keeping her memory right here with us, whether it is on a call or in the building or even in our minds, she is here with us and that will never change. We are very happy that we could do something like this for a fallen member. Jen we will never forget you and you will always be missed. Thank you for all you have done for this community and more.
